I’m pretty sure the white/Caucasian people moving back there got a good deal on a house in a less-than-nice neighborhood, and they intend to make the area nicer and safer to live in-not to continue trashing it like the present residents have-I think some racist Black people call that “gentrification”. There is just no pleasing people who are racist-they are pissed if you move away when they move in, then they are pissed if you move back with the best of intentions...
Gentrification is far better than slumification.
As far as that unfriendly reaction from the white neighbor...maybe it had something to do with the Watts, Los Angeles riots of 1965. There goes the neighborhood...LITERALLY!!
Honestly, this white woman wasn’t on some gentrifying master quest. She and her family were undoubtedly looking for a decent middle class home in LA they could afford.
Looks as though the Caucasians are the “go to” group to abuse today. And the corollary is that the so-called minorities are never obligated to “out any scum suckers” they have.
