One trip to the lawyers office before it gets that far along and the whole deal is over - who waits and does nothing through such a drawn out travesty?
As I said, the low hanging fruit; elderly, widows, orphans and people of low education. They trust the lies of the mortgage services because who would believe they lie?
And one trip wouldn't do it. I made a schedule and called the State Attorney General, Congressman and CFPB to check on my case twice a week for many months. I faxed, emailed and return receipt snail mailed my proof of payment (with growing timeline of events) at least 30 times to various agencies and Green Tree. CFPB didn't tell me much but the State AG and Congress reps told me that I was just one of many.

Looks like the current fight may result in trump draining part of that swamp - totally Dem controlled and your data would make a great series of human interest showing how the Dems treat the elderly in order to pad their slush funds.
Something seriously wrong (above and beyond the initial crimes) if you can't nip something like that in the bud via a lawyer.
Thanks for the persistence during the dialogue - as I get older, my mind can take a little longer to change when it ought to be a Democrat of a job (no brainer...)....
