Ryan tweeted Friday: “I am not trying to be funny but folks are already saying #piegate and #fakepie. Show it to us on the table with folks eating it and a pic of you cooking it. I am getting the biggest laugh out of this. I am thankful for this laugh on Black Friday!”

Throughout Friday, Ryan interacted with some social media users who tweeted to Sanders tongue-in-cheek photos of cars, buildings and pools they claimed they built.

So what. Al Gore said he baked a pecan pie and then went outside and invented the internet.Hillary Clinton said she baked a pecan pie and was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. Bill Clinton said he baked a pecan pie and then did not have sex with that woman.

The problem with eliminating leftwing journalists entirely...

I would only expel the juvenile delinquent "journ-o-lists".

means WE will not have conservative journalists when a President Bernie Sanders is elected

How would that be different from the past?

If I were her, I’d rent a kitchen set like you see on the TV cooking shows and have it set up in place of the podium. Then I’d walk into the press room, and glare ad this Ryan woman without saying a word.

She probably shouldn’t do this, but I would.

Trump hasn’t kicked a single ( cough ) Reporter from the White House. All talk, no walk.

Any self-respecting Southern woman knows how to roll out a pie crust and make pecan pie (Karo syrup, butter, sugar, salt, cinnamon, pecans). The trick is in the baking and not overcooking or undercooking it.

It is amazing what some people can do with food, whether they are professional or amateur. Your cousin, my brother...it’s just something they have a natural interest in and aptitude for. My brother takes after our dad, which is lucky for my sister-in-law, who does not seem to like to cook. She is the one who decorates the table, and the rest of the house, nicely, though, so they are a good match.

I did not inherit anyone’s interest in cooking/baking! :)

You forgot eggs, never forget the eggs (from experience I say this).

A pee-can is what my great grandmother had under her bed at night.

They used to call those thundermugs.

Pecan pie is one of those things that is really easy to make that tastes really, really good. The only cheating necessary is to get a premade crust.

Of course not one single journalist or reporter called on Michelle Obama and her fake White House garden.

Pecan pies are never embroiled; they are baked.

I saw Diamond and Silk. Brilliant. That reporter is just ridiculous. As if pecan pies takes a rocket scientist. My 4th grader made one along with the entire T-Day dinner by herself. The only things she needed help with was to get the hot turkey out of the oven and asked me (I was sick with pneumonia) how much sage in the cornbread dressing. Maybe that reporter is one of those city folk who have never boiled water on her stove.

A pee can is that empty coffee can you take on long car trips.

Oops, my bad thanks; made the mistake of going from memory instead of referring to the recipe card my mother wrote out for me (Mrs. Harrison’s pecan pie — from the owner of the boarding house in which my mother lived in her youth). And I’m a guy — mom made sure all the boys knew how to cook, clean, do laundry, iron, and do basic sewing repairs. As a confirmed all bachelor, it has put me in good stead. Women I’ve dated like a guy who can fix the car, make house repairs, and prepare a good meal!
