Just because Moore wasnt interested in prostitutes doesnt mean that later he didnt have a thing for innocent teenagers. Because he did, by his own admission re his future wife. Attracted to young innocent American girls doesnt = being attracted to Vietnamese hookers who have sex with other men many times a day.
Being attracted to young women doesn’t mean he abused them and only one has alleged abuse. Only one women, who also has accused several other men, claims he was involved with her at 14. Her story is also inconsistent with the court recorded timeline and even parts of her own Mother’s account. She claimed to have had a phone in her room. She claimed after Moore her behavior problems began when the court record shows the opposite. Not one of Moore’s accusers have passed reasonable scrutiny and only one claimed abuse and she represented by Allred has the least credible story. Moore was a handsome fairly popular local guy who spent the bulk of his 20s in Vietnam and then came back and finished his law degree. His interest in younger women wasn’t creepy nor were they creeped out by him. The evidence suggests that they were drawn to the young soldier and lawyer.
Its not surprising the Moore has enemies and fame chasers given his history as a judge and high profile Christian Conservative defender of the Constitution.
You’re a real piece of work.
Him not wanting to hang out in a brothel speaks to his character kinda like forging his name speaks to the creditability of his accusers. Does the yearbook make all the women liars? no but it makes one entertain the plausible scenario of an orchestrated smear. It’s another piece of data that points to conclusion he is on team America and thus must be taken out.
I take it by your series of posts on Judge Moore that when you were a young, innocent American girl you werent courted by an honorable, decent, respectable and patriotic man who was older than you and treated you with respect and took no liberties with you? An older man your mother approved of and considered a good prospect.
If my assumption is correct you do not understand the southern culture that existed 40 years ago.
Yaelle, we will have to agree to disagree.
There is no evidence whatsoever that he actually in any improper way with any girls, of whatever age. No evidence whatsoever.
I think you have an emotional issue about this.
Really?
How much do you know about men?
That used to be standard: find a young, relatively virgin girl and marry her. Which he did. And your problem with this is?
He said he remembered her from a dance recital she was in at age 15 when he met her again when she was 23!
A "thing for innocent teenagers"?
I don't know how old you are but I am close to Judge Moore's age. When I graduated from high school in 1971, it was not unusual in the 60s and early 70s for girls to get married a few months after graduating. And when I say it was not unusual I mean that you might be invited to 3 or 4 weddings that first summer after graduation. And, she might marry a guy 10 years older than her. This means that they were dating for at least two years before they married which means they were 16 when they started dating.
So, he was not a perv for dating someone in their late teens. Also, in those days young women were a bit more mature than they are today and they looked more mature.
Another thing, before the sexual revolution the vast majority of girls honored their virginity.
Don't make the mistake of applying today's standards to those days because they cannot compare.
“thing for innocent teenagers.”
I would have let him date my daughter under the right conditions. He would have been a good catch for her. West point, Nam Vet, Lawyer. You are making way to big a deal of him dating younger women. 17 and 18 are not little girls. It would not keep me from voting for him.
By all accounts he is a good husband to his wife. His wife by the way was not a teen when they married.
Are you really that stupid, or are you just pretending?
Johnny Belyeu, Sr. is a former police officer with over two decades of experience with the Etowah County Sheriffs Department and the Gadsden Police Department. He said in a statement, I was an officer with the Etowah County Sheriffs Department in the 1970s, which means I worked in the courthouse and knew who Roy Moore was since he was the Deputy District Attorney at the time. I was a regular customer at Olde Hickory House, and I never once saw Judge Moore come in there. If he had, I would have immediately recognized him. I also never met Beverly Nelson during any of the many times I frequented the restaurant, and I cant say that she even worked there.
Renee Schivera of Huntsville, Alabama stated, I was a waitress at the Olde Hickory House during the summer of 1977, before my senior year of high school. When I heard Beverly Nelsons story, the first thing that stuck out to me was that I dont remember Roy Moore ever coming into the restaurant. I also dont remember her working there. The other thing that struck me as odd is that from my best recollection, the dumpsters were to the side of the building. I just know they were visible from the road, and not back behind the building. But the main thing is that if someone came in almost every night we knew who they were, and I never saw Roy Moore there. As a Christian woman, I wouldnt lie for anyone and I am only sharing what I know because its the truth.
