I like the idea of a TV show, but one that would never be aired on TV.
Specifically, about a large Christian family that belong to a movement (while not specifically named) like “Quiverfull”.
The emphasis being not just to have a family, but a large, well raised family, as the most important thing that parents can do.
It would show the parents as being wise and intelligent, thinking and planning ahead for the families’ prosperity, while steering their children away from frivolous materialism.
The children are well behaved, the older ones helping to guide the younger ones. They all help with the chores and other responsibilities.
Importantly, the context of this is the failure and despair of other people living in the average world of today. People who live without faith or clear morality, are obsessed with possessions, self destructive entertainments, and are brainwashed by the media and commercialism.
Seeing the happy family, many of them are jealous and envious, with some bitterly hating them, but others learning from them and hoping to embrace their better path.
Didn’t they do that with the Duggar family until their image came crashing down? The Duck Dynasty shows were all scripted and the family’s image is somewhat fake (too many pre-show pictures of the sons looking completely mainstream, urban and beardless), but the Robinsons and their friends seemed more like normal people.
