>>> I like our current situation.

It could be a good situation, if there weren't so many backstabbers in the key positions of power, such as McConnell, Ryan, Roberts, and Sessions. But since they do hold so much power right now, in our Constitutional republic, unfortunately little can be trusted or assumed to go the way conservatives desire.

Well Turtle and Ryan are not backstabbers, they are front-stabbers, we knew this since forever. Roberts you're absolutely correct since he backstabbed the Constitution and should be tried for treason. Jeff Sessions? Naturally you are as incorrect as in the other thread. But since you are not even vaguely aware of the AG job description how can you not be? Hint, "backstab" is the clue you need to consider. But we're way off-topic in a Flynn thread.

>>> It is far more than we were all expecting two years ago battling the crybabies back then.

Sorry but I don't believe that's true either. There was a strong sense of hope brewing in the air as Obozo's final term was ending, and Congressional elections had been swinging our way. I supported the outsiders Cruz and Trump, in that order, and believed if we were one year into either of their terms we'd be further along than we are right now.

Brewing in some minds maybe, but folks that have been around knew better. We were and still are facing annihilation from demographics plus the totality of a united Enemedia and both halves of the uniparty. A little nudge from President Hillary with Amnesty and TX, AZ,and some other states flip "blue" ( and the anti-Sessions kooks want to expedite this by removing the only person down there besides Trump who gives a damn ) and TX alone means annihilation, no sense even running a candidate. Anyone not understanding demographics and the electoral map were always in fantasyland IMHO.

No offense, but if you supported Cruz or any of the others that is evidence you really don't get the electoral map at all ( not to mention Article II Section 1, but we'll skip that for today :-). Before Trump came along in June 2015, this thing was over before it started, President Hillary, full stop. Anyone actually thinking any of the 16 dwarfs could get more than 1 of the 12 swing states ( let alone the 8 that Trump got ) well, they were just engaging in wishful thinking. I dissected this in explicit detail here over and over at the time.

When I said "far more than we were expecting" I was describing the Scalia pick, some action on the lower courts, and cracking the trade problem, definite items Trump would get to. We had strong *hope* that the neocon deep state would be challenged as promised, I thought it would be a hard slog with Flynn breaking them down from the inside, but I never imagined they would expose themselves like turkeys laying their heads on butcher blocks.

>>> If Trump plays this perfectly, the District Of Criminals will never be the same.

Like most of the other happy go luckies here, you're forgetting Trump isn't King, ...

"Happy go luckies?" I have no idea who your talking about, or even why your posting this part to me. Looks like you're posting boilerplate meant for some mindless Trump cheerleader. That sure ain't me, LOL. Go to CTH for that. There are plenty. And you'll fit right in with the Sessions bashers.

As above, "If Trump Plays this right" means one single thing ... the seditious coup attempt using the Russia hoax and all related activities ... it means Trump turning it around to destroy the enemy cabal. This was not anticipated by anyone, I doubt even Trump himself. So, I'm more hopeful *now* since they have wildly overplayed their hand. That is all. He has been given a mighty weapon indeed and they are worried, and should be.

You're still missing the most basic obvious point, when you keep saying "if Trimp plays this right" in that Trump doesn't seem to currently have any mechanism, much less a weapon, in which to play any hand that he may or may not even have.

Sessions clearly backstabbed Trump by not telling him there was a good chance he would have to recuse himself on anything related to the campaign. A recusal that has since grown into anything related to the Clintons, per Sessions own testimony to Congress on multiple occassions. An obviously selfish move by Sessions that Trump has widely complained about on multiple occassions.

Sessions is so disinterested in listening to what Trump wants that Trump has resorted to excoriating him in interviews, and over Twitter where he has posted statements such as "DO SOMETHING!" for all the world to see.

Sessions has also rebuffed any and all requests from Congress for a second special counsel to look into Clinton and Mueller and Rosenstein, including a request from their very own DoJ oversight committee, even though Rosenstein was quick to appoint Mueller when a few ragtag liberals asked for it.

So exactly who and in what capacity are you expecting Trump to use to turn the tables on the swamp now? His bully pulpit clearly hasn't worked, as anything he says is now distorted 180 degrees or ignored. The military? Like a forced takeover of government? The press? LOL! This is why I called you a happy go lucky. You want us to believe everything will be just fine now, simply because Trump is in the White House, when the truth is a President alone has few levers he can pull on his own. Which is by design, of course, but right now he's a lone man that already had to fire many of his original incoming staff, in order to adapt to an environment that is clearly beyond his control.

To truly fix this mess, *WE* need to work hard to elect more outsiders, and true conservatives into Congress. We need to press Trump to finally clean house in all the positions he controls, which are still stacked with Obama appointees. And we need to continue to drown the media with contempt. We put Trump into office but that isn't going to be enough.

We must fight back on multiple levels, not just sit back as you are doing and claim that Trump can and should be able to correct it all,own his own, because clearly he can't. If you ask me, everyone claiming that will be the first ones to bring out the knives if and when he fails. And why wouldn't they, when they clearly don't understand the predicament we're all in right now.
