The great cathedrals of Europe are proof that warm is good and cool is bad, not just for man but for nature.
They were built during a time of prosperity when it was easier to grow food despite the fact that the human influences that caused the dark ages, like Muslim depredations, were still largely in place.
If cultures barely getting by can manage such extravagance just because conditions were favorable imagine what critters in the wild were doing?
A week ago our ac/heat unit went out. It dipped down into the 30’s & I was so freezing & miserable. And I am always hot! When you’re cold all you can think about is being warm. You cannot do a lot because you’re so cold. You can carry on in heat, but cold........maybe I’m just a wimp ; )
