I was turned on to coke in my teens (80’s.) I remember it feeling like the best thing in the world. It turned my normally melancholy, shy self into a happy exuberant one. Then I did too much once, mixing it with alcohol as well. Worst feeling, thought I would die. Didn’t touch the stuff after. Nowadays I can’t even tolerate Benadryl or cold medicines. Suffered with very painful muscle spasms for a couple of days cause I refuse to take the muscle relaxants. I’m dreading the time that I will need to be on narcotics for old age pains, surgeries whatever.

your benadryl reaction is interesting- people with firbro experience a reaction called Herxheimer Reaction when taking benadryl- there was a ‘benadryl protocol’ used to treat fibro- where people woudl get the Herxheimer Reaction- bu it can happen in many chronic issues like lyme diseas, cancer, arthritis etc-

it’s basically a detox of the body- where the body ‘feels worse before it gets better’ supposedly
