Do you think you can send me a nasty email, telling me to go to hell and then just walk away when you are the one who is in the wrong?
That’s not going to happen. You posted something that you should not have. You violated the terms of this website, and acted against common decency as well.
For someone who is a veteran and advanced in years, you are showing hubris and a deficit in moral courage. This is inconsistent with your service to the country, the wisdom that should go with your years, and the conservatism you profess to espouse.
You are nearing the end of your life, and you tell me to go to hell for reproving your error. You need to consider your own eternal destiny rather than trying to dictate mine.
I’ve read many of your posts, and you usually have good things to say. I usually find myself agreeing with you. But this does not make it right when you say blacks should not be allowed to vote. You said that. Your post got deleted, rightly. But instead of manning up and apologizing, you defend, blame, excuse, and attack.
I politely reproved your error earlier because of your age and service to this country. You should have thanked me for the correction. You should have admitted you were in the wrong. You should have apologized to those who you insulted with your remarks. Instead you’ve chosen to double down.
You offended some of the black, Christian conservatives on this forum who have been here longer than you. You emailed to tell me to go to hell. They emailed me to express appreciation for standing up for black conservatives on this forum. This is not a place where they should feel rejected and isolated. It is a place where they should feel welcome.
And you and anyone who holds such views as you are refusing to denounce need to be aware that advocating such egregious views is not merely hurting the feelings of fellow conservatives, it damages the image and reputation of this website, all FReepers, and all conservatives. That’s why it can not remain unchallenged.
There wasn’t anything in my post that was in any way against “common decency.” The fact that you happen to see things differently doesn’t give you any reason to attack me and what I wrote.
There are people who don’t deserve the “right” they have to vote. I didn’t say they couldn’t vote, I said their votes were destroying this country. That’s the truth, they are. The large cities of this country are a teeming disaster, and you have to ask yourself why? And the answer is poor leadership. And in a large majority of cases, that “leadership” is Black Democrat. That isn’t my opinion, it is an easily demonstrated fact. Taking it a step further, what is the biggest threat to our country from illegal immigration? It’s that sooner or later, the longer they are allowed to stay, they ( or more likely their offspring) will be able to vote. I grew up in Northern California in the 1960’s. I consider myself extremely lucky to have had that opportunity. At that time this state was #1 in any and all categories upon which you wished to measure. So what has happened, migration here from the Southern States during WWII to work in defense plants and illegal immigration. Those are also facts. So you can get all wee wee’d up about “civil rights” for minorities, but the cold hard fact is that the ARE a major political, economic, and social problem that needs to be addressed. Now, if this offends you, go to the moderators and see if they will remove this commentary too. Frankly I don’t care, because what I’ve written is the truth!
