Before I came to Japan, I made the mistake of taking the exam to become BP (in Brownsville)...

2 options: Spanish (Castillno) or fake language... I made the mistake of choosing Spanish (Tex-Mex doesn’t work on the test :/ )..

Learned that the fake language is much easier..
too late..

Name and # (SS#) is stored permanently.. so I did not have the option of taking the test again using the fake language :p

If I remember right, I could take the test again (up to 3 times ?!?) BUT, only in Spanish, because I took the first test in Spanish... :/

Things have changed since then.

You really can’t “fail” the exam, you just score low enough that you never will be called because they will fill the ranks with those that scored higher.

And you can take the language part of your choice with the initial and follow-on exam.

Too many changes to the exam process over the last couple of years so it might be changed again. Research www.honorfirst.com.

It is the poly that is causing mass rejections: BP experiences about an 80-90% failure rate on the poly, whereas the Secret Service, FBI, other federal agencies, they have about a 30% failure rate.

Oh, if you still have an active Secret or TS, then they have a new waiver program for the poly. Don’t know if it is still active. Worth checking.
