In the mid 80’s, my 1st hubby and I were at a dinner-and-dance place we liked on a Saturday night-it was maybe 7:30, and the band was practicing a reggae number while people were eating dinner before the band officially took to the stage-a rather plump young woman in a really tight, short sequined cocktail dress wiggled her way to the middle of the floor and started shaking it for all she was worth, out there all by herself-the band just kept playing while everyone either stared, whistled or laughed-it was worth seeing...
