The BJ was consensual. That is irrelevant. This wasn't about Monica Lewinsky. It was about Paula Jones. Jones was suing Bill Clinton because he had sexually harassed her. It was classic sexual harassment. Jones was an underling. Clinton was in a position of relative power. He exposed himself to her in an unwanted sexual advance. The Clinton team did what they always did. They did an all-out character assassination on her. Remember Jim Carville and his 'drag a dollar through a trailer park comment"? She was lying white trash, and Bill Clinton would NEVER do what she alleged.

And it worked for a while. Then the Paula Jones team identified Monica Lewinsky. It turns out Bill Clinton WOULD engage in this kind of behavior after all. Sure Monica consented, but that wasn't the point. Bill Clinton was a sexual predator. The Clinton team immediately turned their guns on Monica (and Linda Tripp too, who know the story). And it might have worked. Except Monica had kept damning evidence (thanks to advice provided by Tripp).

The Clintons smeared the victims. They lied to the American People. They lied under oath. They suborned perjury. They threatened witnesses and they committed sexual harassment and assault. I dare say, there are few people who have been accused of sexual harassment since Clarence Thomas who have been more guilty. Yet many of the same people pontificating about current cases gave him a pass.

We would have had President Al Gore, who probably would have defeated GWB in 2000.

What's appalling is the way Monica Lewinsky was treated by BC's supporters and the enabling behavior of the witch he's married to. One caller to CPAN's Washington Journal this AM pointed out that one reason women didn't come forward after that is because they were afraid they'd be treated as poorly as Monica was.

She's a true victim of a much older powerful person. This whole thing is so cynical. It's not about treating women with dignity and it's certainly not about innocent until proven guilty. Everything is twisted by dems and slimy Republicans to meet their political agenda. It's surreal to hear these women come forward who claim they were victims while they're being victimized by being marched out to the media with these questionable recollections.

Also, he was impeached for lying under oath and obstructing justice. That’s a high crime.

And democRat political hacks let him skate because he was a democRat. And that is all they cared about.
