I think Mueller wants to be fired; the deep state wants him to increase the pressure on everyone even remotely tied to the Trump campaign. This increases the odds that (1) someone may eventually “flip” (i.e., lie) in order to procure more indictments deeper into the Trump circle; (2) Mueller continues to act more aggressively and deviates much further from simply “Russian collusion”, that Trump is forced to fire him thus handing potential grounds for him impeachment to the Dems and GOP never-Trumpers.

Yup. Deep State waiting to play the Mueller as noble public servant fired by the evil and guilty Trump. Expect Mueller to become more outrageous in his behavior down the line in an attempt to provoke being fired.
