A Georgia family is under fire for allowing a seventh grader to wear a T-shirt that mocked liberal news network CNN on a school field trip to CNNs Atlanta headquarters -- but the boy's parents think the school violated the First Amendment by making their son take it off.
Nancy and Stan Jester, of Dekalb, are both local elected officials, she a county commissioner and he is a member of the local school board. Their son, seventh-grader Jaxon, wore a shirt mocking the CNN logo as FNN with the caption, Fake News Network.

The school acted stupidly. Both this fine young man and Wolf Blitzed should be invited to the White House for a Kool-Aid summit.
CNN is fake news.
That said, it’s their site, and they have no duty to host a rude visitor.

This does give a a bit of hope that the yutes of his generation are not all part of soros SJW brownshirt army.
Which reminds me. Remember when obama said he wanted a civilian army more powerful than our military? They have it with these SJW brownshirt yutes.
Rant off.

On page 75 (not the pdf page but the numerical page at the bottom of each page) Dress code says that clothing which has politically controversial words or graphics are not permitted.
Schools would be better with school uniforms
“No typical child who is 12-13 would select that tee-shirt on his own.”
OMG... you don’t know my home-schooled nephews, all under 12. They’d choose that in a heartbeat.
"...you dont know my nephews..."
LOL! He’s learning to troll at a young age.
BTW.......the CNN tour in Atlanta SUCKS. They also have a frikkin’ server (covered in plexiglass) plopped in the walkway of tourists outside the “newsroom “. How is that safe?
I am 36 years removed from my nodding acquaintance with the German language but the word “verschluckt” didn’t really require translation since it was right behind the word for street. It seems somewhat akin to the GI German word “gefukt”, as in all traffic is totally screwed up in that area.
Um, I think that is HILARIOUS, but I think the school had every right to stop the kid from wearing it at CNN.
Manners.
Glad our Founding Fathers weren’t all that worried about “decorum, etiquette, and restraint.”
"...our Founding Fathers..."
The school is going onto their property as their GUEST. That’s why.
Were you born in a cellar and never brought up?
The Jesters are raising a great son....I love it...where can you buy one?
Why not appropriate? Seems like a “I’ve been so brainwashed that some PC crap seems reasonable to me” response.
See my reply in #36.
I liked oven better.
