To: MadMax, the Grinning Reaper

Oh I get that - and I don’t believe for a moment that the military isn’t going after Mugabe, in spite of their use of his glorified title. I can only imagine what they will deem as being criminal - and if they are successful, what sort of rule they will impose on the country.

There was a thread awhile ago about Nixon calling the people in Africa “little children”. It was an excerpt - and he was talking about how their leaders were like little children when it came to ruling a nation.

I did some more research on it, and in an interview before Watergate Nixon said that after the USSR and China, he wanted to focus on improving relations in South America, and then in Africa - and in Africa specifically helping their leaders develop.

I’m guessing the military overturning Mugabe will end up being a tit-for-tat revenge fest rather than an improvement in government.

Couldn’t get much worse, if at all.

His crimes?

Genocide. That is a good place to start.

Africa is Africa, so will the new guys be “better?” Maybe, maybe not, but Mugabe is truly a criminal by any measure.
