Why would anyone write “Christmas 1977”, then write “12-22-77”?

For that matter, why would anyone write the location , “Old Hickory House”, where you signed the book? Why would that be relevant?

The location was written as "Olde Hickory House". The real name was "Old Hickory House".

And this was supposedly written either by Moore, who supposedly ate there regularly, or the woman, who actually worked there.

Strange that whoever wrote that got the name wrong. Of course, if that was written 40 years after the fact...

Has anyone asked why someone would be signing a yearbook at Christmas time? Don’t yearbooks come out at the end of the school year (May or June)?
