Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 25, 2017
Everybody is asking why the Justice Department (and FBI) isn't looking into all of the dishonesty going on with Crooked Hillary & the Dems..— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 3, 2017
....People are angry. At some point the Justice Department, and the FBI, must do what is right and proper. The American public deserves it!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 3, 2017
FYI....I'm one of the ones, who up until today, have been waiting for the Trump/Sessions 3D chess/long game to pan out.
I also thought there was a ‘long game’ involved.
First, Trump could fire Sessions at any time for any reason. Sure, there’d be political fallout. But it’s his decision to leave the guy there.
Second, Sessions backed Trump fairly early on - when he was taking a political risk to do so. I didn’t view him as a Swamp Creature.
Not looking good after today.
This is more painful than I thought it would be. Remember all the cheering we’ve done for him on Judiciary Cmte threads over the years? One of our only voices, it seemed...
So how do you explain to yourself Trump’s willingness to stick with Sessions?
I don’t know why anyone thinks that tweets are a closer look at Trump’s real intentions than what he is actually doing. When there is a disparity between what he tweets and what he is doing then perhaps it is worthwhile to study a few of the maxims of Sun Tzu. Because there is no doubt that Trump knows them. And consider that disinformation campaigns aren’t limited to wartime.
