Full title: 'Socialist' doctor 'assaulted' Kentucky Senator Rand Paul because the congressman's trees were 'in the way' and were 'devaluing his $740,000 home that he is desperately trying to sell'

The doctor is probably going to plead insanity because everyone knows Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Looking at the comments here, I’m amazed at the number of FReepers who are falling for this FAKE EXPLANATION.

No, the crazed Trump hater attacked Paul because he is a full fledged, card carrying liberal pos.

Let me see, sell the House versus Assaulting your Neighbor.

Decisions, decisions...

Next on the agenda, “the GOP set me up”.

Retired at 59? Why, did he accidentally kill somebody on the table?

There are several hundred houses with thousands of trees blocking my view of the lake that is 3 miles away. I'm going to methodically blindside every one of those property owners since my house was given a low appraisal.

I had a mountain view obstructed by neighbors trees.

When I went to sell, I offered the neighbor to have a tree service come in and thin and remove certain trees.

He benefited from an improved mountain view also.

Simple solution if you’re willing to have the discussion.

“It’s believed Boucher was referring to woodland at the back of Paul’s property that blocks the doctor’s views of the picturesque private lake that forms the centerpiece of their upscale gated community.”

It is settled property law that no one is entitled to a view!

Any house’s value is what people are willing to pay for it - no more

Friends say it could explain why the retired anesthesiologist has failed to find a buyer for his five-bedroom, 1.36-acre home which is nonetheless described on property websites as 'overlooking' the desirable water feature.

So the property is advertised as overlooking the lake and probably priced like it is too, and this guy wonders why he can't sell his property.

My first real estate broker, a crusty veteran, hired me as a sales agent in 1979 and told me to remember that the only reason a property doesn’t sell is if it’s over-priced or under water. Later on in my real estate auction career, I managed to sell several parcels of underwater real estate that were parts of marina developments.

That’s no Lake.

In Tejas we call that a “tank”

I’m not buying the “trying to sell the house” story for a minute.

If he can’t sell the house it probably is way overpriced.

Looks like he’s got enough trees of his own that would block any view.

Maybe everyone knows about the demons of stupidity that haunt that particular piece of property and could possess future occupants.

“...he hadn’t been able to sell his $740,000 house for ten years because the congressman’s trees were ‘in the way’.”

Bull sh!t. It’s Bowling Green, KY. No one is gonna buy that house for that kind of money.

The good Senator has the smallest house on in the gated community it seems. Definitely the smallest that backs up to the lake. The Socialist Dr is on the corner lot with TWO properties separating him and the lake. His house is worth 550-600 methinks. He’s crazy at 750-850m asking price. If he were smart (which he isn’t because he’s liberal), I’d sell that sucker for 500m to free up some funds for my lawyers.

And unprovoked attack like this could happen at any time.

This attacker needs to be kept behind bars.

This IS NOT some class four attack.

This was an attempt to inflict severe physical harm. Six broken ribs, lungs bruised, this guy nearly killed Paul here.

This perp should not be allowed out on bail, and he should spend at a minimum, then years in prison.

The 'socialist' doctor charged with cracking Senator Rand Paul's ribs in a crunching blindside tackle may have harbored a secret grudge against his GOP neighbor for spoiling his lakeside views and 'devaluing' his home, DailyMail.com can reveal.

More and more articles are appearing with language like this.

If something may have happened, then equally it may not have happened. And some of these types of reports are almost guaranteed to wind up on the "did not" happen side of it.

This is not news. It is gossip.

Articles like this belong in the tabloids, not top rank newspapers.

The seller should inquire about the association rules, regarding trees. That might give him relief over his grievance. Or maybe not.

The seller should reduce the asking price.

The seller should have his agent negotiate with Sen. Paul.

Surely an MD, would be smart enough to have pursued one or more of those recommendations.

This individual must be unbalanced mentally. Was he drinking? Under other drugs’ influence?

Why retired so young?

Neighbors here have the same situation. They bought lots on the woods, but several families of white liberals from across the street who paid less for their houses because they are not on the woods want to walk through the private yards of the people who bought on the woods, claiming that because a defunct HOA exists, they have some sort of community right.

The HOA does not own any of the property, and hardly ever holds a meeting. The trespassers get up in the faces of the people on whose grass they are treading, bringing weeds out of the woods onto the lawns.

One of these days there will be an incident. Then the courts will rule in favor of the trespassers, and the insurers will punish the homeowners who were trespassed upon.

Please note: the black families do not trespass in people’s yards; they take the NRA stickers on the houses of the woods dwellers seriously. They learned better back in the day.

The doctor/perp is just trying to avoid the Federal charge of assaulting a member of Congress which carries prison time.
