He can’t assume they’re guilty anymore than he can assume Moore is guilty.
He doesn’t speculate, he states a fact.
But the “fact” was tilted to one side. “No reason to doubt the accusers” might be technically correct, but that can also be a euphemism for “I think he’s guilty.” That makes it an inept and disappointing answer.
Your answer would be appropriate.
Unfortunately, Sessions didnt state his reply as youve written.
Hes given the lefties a lot of ammo to work with. A handful of Rs are attempting to assist Sessions, but he keeps snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.
I don't have any reason to believe you are a pedophile so I won't publicly call you one. That is a fact.
Yes, I listened to at least 50% of the hearing on the radio including that exchange. Sessions is honest to a fault, and sometimes goes further than he should with statements about the cases that he isn't involved with. Sessions get a bad rap from a lot of vocal critics here, but their solution seems to (often) be to jettison the rule of law and just act like Democrats. Clearly neither Sessions nor Trump is going to do that.
