Yes, I listened to at least 50% of the hearing on the radio including that exchange. Sessions is honest to a fault, and sometimes goes further than he should with statements about the cases that he isn't involved with. Sessions get a bad rap from a lot of vocal critics here, but their solution seems to (often) be to jettison the rule of law and just act like Democrats. Clearly neither Sessions nor Trump is going to do that.
Yes, they want an AG like Obama had.
After complaining for years about the damage such an AG does to the rule of law.
Trump's appointees are 100% professionals. Agree or disagree with their positions, you can't really argue with their qualifications and dedication. Sessions is close to the top of the heap.
I was able to listen carefully to the entire hearing today.
AG Jeff Sessions has been redundantly emphatic throughout all of these stupid agenda driven hearings, he cannot “confirm or deny” information about ongoing investigations. This point is well taken, if these investigations are actually taking place.
Based on his push backs against the Republicans today, as well as his previous testimony, and seemingly unknowledgeable answers, it does not seem Sessions is looking into much regarding Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration.
Sessions is apprehensive in the least, to look into the Clinton/Obama crime network, as he has reassured the Demons in every hearing, he would not do anything which might appear to be politically motivated, or could even be construed as political!
However, Sessions has also clearly and repeatedly defended both his recusal and the “integrity” and charactor of Rosenstein and Mueller in their oversight of the “Russian Collusion” investigation.
Even while in reality, there truly was NO evidence to support the appointment of a special counsel to investigate “Trump Collusion”, and the Mueller investigation is the height of injustice, and nothing less than a politically motivated war to destroy the electorates pick of Trump!!
The current investigation is nothing less than a no-boundaries left wing politically motivated effort to destroy Trump.
At the very same time, Sessions is verbally reassuring the left he will not do anything which might be construed as political, AND pushing back against the appointment of a real Independent Counsel to investigate actual known high crimes committed by the previous administration and the Clintons!
As in the past, these types of hearings are intended, (especially by the left) to trip up, ambush, and to manipulate the AG to commit immense time and bidding toward left wing causes. In these hearings today, AG Jeff Sessions agreed in many instances, to spend significant time and AG resources to pacify and even support various left wing agendas.
As well, as painful as it is to listen to these stupid politically manipulative agenda driven hearings, which amount to little more than militant anti-American and venomous campaign sound bites from the Demons, Jeff Sessions DID briefly verbally reply to Jordan, regarding the appointment of a new special counsel, he (Sessions) saw “NO BASIS” for the appointment of *Special Counsel!
Then there was a break taken in the hearing.
Later, Sessions told Congressman Gohmert outright, there was no real connection between the Uranium One/CFIUS decision, and Rosenstein and Mueller’s decision to seal the Uranium One records.
In the same response to Gohmert, Sessions actually briefly defended the CFIUS board decision!
Whether he understood it or not, Sessions just defended the integrity of the Clinton operated Uranium One, the left wing Obama/Clinton APPOINTED CFIUS board and its decision, and the Rosenstein/Mueller decision to seal the records from the public, after they (Rosenstein/Mueller) had intervened to shut down the FBI investigator and his FISO+RICO findings from being disclosed.
In reality, I believe Sessions knows, he is truly providing cover for the guilty within the AG,FBI, and the Obama/Clinton administrations.
It is quite visible, Sessions is trying very hard to prove he can make the left-wing happy.
Whether he understands it or not, (scary in itself), Sessions is helping to solidify a TWO tiered justice system he purports to be against. A system which will not prosecute those in government who use their office for personal gain, who deliberately violate our law as will, and have no problem placing our security in grave danger, in an effort to get hundreds of millions of dollars in return and helping ascend to higher public office.
It would be foolish to place confidence in where this goes from here.
Maybe Sessions simply has not looked at how the massive dots form a near perfect picture.
However, while it is true Sessions may be concerned or afraid of the perceptions of working with the POTUS, especially after the friction he has already had with Trump, over not looking into critically important legal infractions and crises long staring us in the face, is he then therefore unwilling to exact justice, just because of perception?
This would mean Sessions is unwilling to stand for our Country when his job may be on the line because of the Democrats.
If he was doing the right thing and standing for the law of our land, and standing for the justice which guards our liberty, I do not believe Trump would have placed pressure on Sessions. Therefore, the only option left is Sessions must be afraid of the Demons and the media he keeps playing nice with.

He also has no reason to believe Moore's accusers are telling the truth. Where is the "evidence", "jizzum stained blue dress", "dead pregnant girlfriend in submerged car under a bridge", "videos of him groping little girls", etc.?
There is none. What we have with Judge Moore is almost 40 years of anti-American, anti-Christian POS attacking him and his extremely strong biblical and constitutional values.

This is where our side should be digging around to find the skeletons in Sessions’ closet. We don’t need to fabricate things; they’re there somewhere. And then you ask if “he has any reason to believe his accusers are lying.”

Such statements, even if true, are unprofessional, especially from the chief law enforcement officer of the US. This can taint opinions coming from such a high level source and respected Alabama native. He should maintain a neutral stance.
I have no reason to believe Sessions is competent.
