Yeh, first, if the Compensation Committee should be stupid enough to force Jerry to sell, it would blow up the NFL. There would be civil war amongst the owners for sure.

I doubt it. Look how fast the red state Texans owner caved. Blue state NFL owners certainly won’t side with Jones. Besides, I doubt the “compensation committee” can make Jones sell. What will happen is the other owners will marginalize Jones and move on with the progressive agenda.

The NFL owners are scared of their players and the ad buyers are all progressive corportists. Owners like Khan in Jacksonville crave positive media attention and they know they will get it by being PC.

We’re not going to win this fight. Sorry.

Maybe. Jones’ looked to owners such as Al Davis, Lamar Hunt and Art Runney for guidance when they were alive. All of these guys had a history of taking on the NFL. I think he’s cut from the same cloth. I wouldn’t underestimate Jerry Jones if I were you.

Actually, we will, but it will require long-term thinking rather than instant-gratification thinking. Essentially, people who find the behavior of the NFL players and their masters objectionable should simply stop supporting the league. Stop watching NFL or caring about it. Most people get into watching football because their parents and the relatives of their parents' generation watched it. It becomes a family tradition, like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Cut it out of your life, and your children will grow up focusing on other things, and the NFL will eventually fade into obscurity.

The truth is that neither the NFL, nor any other professional sport, should ever have been given such a high place in American society. It is like Hollywood. Where the actors and performers of medieval Europe were looked upon as no better than whores and beggars, Hollywood celebrities are now royalty. Where football was once just a game played for fun on one's day off, now the NFL has achieved the level of royalty. In both cases, the "royal lineage" is nothing but a bunch of low-IQ, morally depraved fools. The USA has needed a re-alignment of priorities for a while. Might as well do it now.
