I agree totally, but you forgot a few things.

Cars were real, functional and didn’t cost the moon.

Kids could go out and play without worrying about weirdos behind every bush.

Illegal aliens were actually treated as illegals.

Oh dear lord. We went out to play, unsupervised for hours on end. Strangers were called 'strangers'. They were called that, and we understood them as such.

And don't get me started on 'blasting caps'.
