Those who argue as these other do simply are trying to avoid things like guilt and answering to an ultimate authority. They also are purposely avoiding a deep dive into how natural processes could possibly have put together the basic elements of life.
This is not a ‘blind faith’ that we have: it is a recognition of the inescapable fact that creation must have had a creator, and that this leads to additional implications for all of us.
