Calling violence in Baltimore "out of control," Mayor Catherine Pugh ordered 30 agency heads to meet every morning at police headquarters, and to make crime reduction the top mission not only of police, but also of health workers, housing officials and public works crews.
The mayor ordered the directors of more than half of the citys 55 departments to report to meetings daily at 8 a.m., when they will plan with Police Commissioner Kevin Davis where weeds should be cut, lead paint covered and drug houses boarded up and job applications can be handed out, among other tasks.

"Violence in the city is out of control," she said. "I want every neighborhood to know I am extremely concerned and focused on reducing violence."

No doubt their answer to fix it will be raising taxes and paying the teachers more money.
Why don't we simply donate Baltimurder to Zimbabwe and make the place happy?
“We must do everything we can, Pugh said. Weve already hit 303 murders, which is totally unacceptable. We know we can do better.”
Wow, if you read this literally, she’s saying that 303 murders aren’t enough! Actually sweetie, I’m sure your “citizens” will crank up the killing these next six or seven weeks and really “make you proud!” With a “real effort,” Baltimore can take the “killing crown” away from either Chicago, Detroit, or St. Louis, whichever one is in first place at the moment.
Yep, they should be closer to a thousand murders, come on Baltimore, step up your game.
“Crime is out of control and the mayor is worried about “lead paint”? “
She misspoke, she was talking about “lead injections!”
That’s the former Mayor. The current Mayor, Catherine Pugh, is a bit more sane. She actually opposes jacking up the minimum wage since she said it will hurt her constituents. Imagine that.
