You didn’t say it was hysterical media, so I assumed you meant hysteria in the nation at large.

Beyond that, hysteria is defined as exaggerated or uncontrollable emotion or excitement, especially among a group of people.

The use of hysteria to describe media is hyperbole. Dare I say, hysterical? LOL

Trust me, as a longtime media member — they want to ferret out EVERY case of alleged sexual “mistreatment” right now, while people are paying attention. Particularly if a celebrity or elected official is involved.

This is getting ratings and selling papers, no matter if these stories are true or not.

Media is in a pure feeding frenzy right now. That’s what I mean by “hysteria.”
