Woman claims reporter offered her thousands of dollars to claim he molested her

If there is proof of this, then the Post and everyone involved are going to be in deep, deep doo-doo.
Usually these types of smears of the unprovable he said , she said and as such there no real legal repercussion or fallout.
The smear just circulates, does all the damage it is going to do and then fades into history. There is no way for law enforcement to do a real investigation because there is nothing to investigate
This case is very different.
Aside from the fact that it's not “He said - She said” , it's more like “She didn't say anything at all for 40 years and suddenly decided to come forward weeks before an election - He didn't know what the heck to say” if there is evidence of money changing hands to give false witness things change.
Based on hard evidence of fraud, there is justification to grill the “victims” and look into their past history and finances .
If so, this could really backfire on the media, the accusers and both the Democrat and Republican parties.
