If I have to pay to park (and I’m willing to walk some), I pretty much don’t go there. Monthly parking near EPA Headquarters in downtown DC is $349 per month (for an unreserved spot) or $698 per month (for a reserved spot). As a contractor who has done work in downtown DC, that is a key point of my compensation negotiations: if the employer won't pay for (or at least reimburse) my parking at my workplace, I won't take a job there.
