You said at the counseling group: “One woman asked me why, since I’m a practicing Catholic and believe in the afterlife.

I said odds are that the medium is a fake or con artist doing cheap parlor tricks. I conceded that there is the possibility of contacting something supernatural.

“See,” they said, “you think it’s possible to contact a deceased loved one!”

I said no, I said there’s the possibility that you could contact some “thing.” But I don’t think it’s a loved one’s spirit.

Spooked the hell out of all of them. They never considered it, I suppose.

Dumbasses.”

I would say that they are ignorant regarding demons, medium related spirituality, & etc, that you know about. If they had said it was not necessary to do the study you and some others posting in this thread have done, then I would definitely agree about them being “Dumbasses.”

I’m guessing that the group you are working with is not religiously oriented. yes/no?

No, it was a secular group, which made me wonder why the self-identified “therapist” raised the issue of mediums.
