In the past, the deep state at least pretended to show evidence of their claims. They showed real photos of Soviet missles in Cuba in 1962. They showed “evidence” of WMDs to convince us that we had to occupy Iraq. What is their evidence of DNC hacking? An “assessment” based on... what? Crowdstrike?

In the 'old days' the press wasn't made up of young pretty boys and bimbos... Liars had to convince the press - THEN the press convinced the rest of us. Took some effort.

Now the liars flash their "D" card (for Democrat) or their "E" card (for 'elite') and they get a pass. Young reporters mixed with corrupt and biased editors makes for a toxic waste... a threat to the very nature of truth in a free society.

In 1983 Reagan’s UN ambassidor Jeanne Kirkpatrick played audio tapes in the UN security council proving that the Russian interceptor had intentionally shot down a civilian 747 (carrying US passengers including a US congressman). Compare that to the current deep state issuing an “assessment” and providing no proof. The political snakes left in the deep state need to go. It is unclear whether Pompeo is one of them.
