Rand Paul's Neighbors Rip Media's Landscaping Dispute Claims
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/8/17 | Paul Bedard

Posted on 11/09/2017 8:04:01 AM PST by ek_hornbeck

The Bowling Green, Ky., neighbor who allegedly attacked Sen. Rand Paul last weekend, causing six broken ribs, was aggressively anti-Trump and anti-GOP in his social media, calling for the impeachment of the president and urging Russia investigator Robert Mueller to “fry Trump’s gonads.”

Captured screen grabs of Rene Boucher’s Facebook page provided to Secrets and taken down since the event also show that the anesthesiologist was a fan of the #NeverTrump clan.

The media spin on the story is that Rand Paul was an ornery neighbor who didn't maintain his yard properly, defied the homeowner's association, and dumped trash on his neighbor's yard. In other words, it blamed Paul rather than Boucher for the attack.

As usual, reality doesn't match media spin. All of Paul's neighbors except Boucher seemed to get along fine with him, and they all confirmed that landscaping had nothing to do with this dispute. Boucher's involvement with "Occupy Democrats" (an Occupy Wall Street spinoff, just like Antifa) and various anti-Trump causes, not lawn mowing, motivated Boucher's attack on Paul.

Yep, saw no evidence of a pumpkin patch in the overhead image. Neighbors like Rand Paul and not the other guy.

Someone said he should be checked for a brain tumor.

What kind of neighborhood does Rand live in? Good Lord.

To do as much damage as he did, this guy must have totally blindsided Paul. Paul doesn’t look like a frail guy.

This doesn’t sound like a “minor kerfuffle” (”media” lingo) to me. It sounds like Paul’s assaulter is a far left, Neanderthal sky howler.

Does anyone think this wacko wanted to make sure that Rand wasn’t able to vote on any upcoming Bills?

Once again, just imagine the media firestorm that would have erupted if a conservative neighbor with far right-wing leanings had assault a Democrat congressman in this way. The vitriol, the invective, the stern lectures about right-wing violence and ugly politics that would have been thrown around would have occupied the media for days and days.

Yes, this wasn’t just a shove in a little brush-up, that could cause such severe injuries. Prayers for Rand Paul to have a good recovery.

Too bad the MSM will not report the truth about this incident.

He should be recharged under the federal statute. Once convicted, send him off to a super max.

It may have started out as a dispute, but over politics, not landscaping.

Paul was wearing earplugs when Boucher tackled him from behind. And Boucher is a doctor himself! Go figure...

Why wasn’t Paul armed? He could havd “stood his ground” and blown that creep away.

I am wondering why the secret service has not stepped in . This attack on a United States senator violates several federal statutes and should be treated as an attempted assissination.the attack on this great libertarian should be severely punished with decades in prison

The same liberal "logic" applies to vandalism and violence perpetrated by BlackLivesMatter or Antifa. It gets swept under the rug, excused, or even encouraged. But when conservative victims of leftist violence fight back, the media get worked up into a frothing rage over "dangerous right wing extremists."

If Rand Paul had an opportunity to fight back (i.e. if he wasn't jumped from behind), the media would have a field day trying to make Paul look like the aggressor. They've almost done as much already even though Paul is the one with multiple broken ribs and a punctured lung.

I wonder if more than tackling was involved. Unless Boucher is very large and very strong, being tackled wouldn't result in the kind of injuries we see in Paul. I suppose it could have been due to being slammed into his own mower, but it seems more like Paul was kicked and/or bludgeoned with something when he was down.

The dispute is that Rand’s neighbor is a card carrying commie! It was a political attack.

The leftists are attacking our leaders. First Scalise, now Paul. Has any democrat been assaulted or shot?

If he was a fairly big guy then running full speed, spearing Paul in the torso and slamming him to the ground with his full weight on top of Paul then yes these are the injuries you would expect. They are the exact same injuries many quarterbacks suffer when they get a sack from the blind side like I just described above.

As a politically motivated attack on a representative of the people, is that not terrorism?

Charge him and send him to Gitmo.
