I have posted a quote saying Ruddy was the source of the report, along with evidence that in fact NPR did identify their two sources (Ruddy and an unnamed WH official). If you prefer not to believe it, that’s your choice.
An unnamed WH official is an unnamed source. If you would prefer not to believe that, that's your choice.
The June 9 NPR article that I linked to doesn't mention any named source. If you want to think that it does, that's your choice.
