Prince William County political leaders are sounding the alarm about fraudulent robocalls going out to local voters, working to mislead them about a change in their polling place ahead of Virginias closely watched state elections.
The Prince William chapter of the NAACP posted a warning on its Facebook page Nov. 6 about the calls, which have so far originated from Gloucester, Virginia, and Adairsville, Georgia. The group also wrote that it has contacted state elections officials about the robocalls, but their origin remains unclear.
Harry Wiggins, the chairman of the Prince William County Democratic Committee, said he has heard from 32 Democratic Party voters in the county who have received the calls over the course of the past four days.
Prince William is broadly seen as a crucial county for Democrats this year, making the effort particularly troubling to political leaders watching turnout numbers closely in both the gubernatorial contest and the areas House of Delegates races.
Won’t they be surprised when they show up to vote Wednesday?
Although this sounds like GOP dirty tricks, only a few people were called, while most who were called are black, several are white, and all were Dim party members.
Since the number is too few to affect the election, but more than enough to get the NAACP and Dims on local news to stir up emotions and maybe get a few more Dim voters out, I’m leaning towards hoax.
“False flag and then get a rat judge to extend voting till midnight”
I am with you 100%.
This was a specialty of Saint Seth Rich.
Sure does. The norm of the Democratic Party.
Subpoena the phone records of the people claiming to have gotten these calls.
