My Dad bought me my first suit at Barney’s Boys Town at 17th & 7th.
They’ve come a long way.
Their Beverly Hills store is a star. First time I went, the car attendants were dressed all in white with white baseball hats ... all bounding around with youthful energy. You are accompanied to the elevator .... then met by another attendant with great enthusiasm when your elevator reached your desired floor. You are coddled at every turn.
My first suit I can recall came from Robert Hall.
Purchased during the early 60s while I was living in the US.
Googled them to see if they were still in business
and sadly see they folded in in 1977.

Les Paul and Mary Ford commercial for Robert Hall....
Whenever I see a reference to Barney's it reminds me of the time when the chain was a big advertiser on the old WABC 770 AM.
Back in the days of Cousin Brucie, Big Dan Ingram, Charlie Greer, Scott Muni.
