So? The gun didn’t commit the crime. Blame the evil woman and her dumb husband, not the guns. Guns aren’t out to kill you. The murderous evil people are. They will find a way. Knife, cars, poison.
Seems to me that was exactly what the post you're responding to was doing - he was saying that the husband was stupid not to keep a gun away from a mentally unstable woman. Saying that someone is stupid for allowing their drunk spouse to drive a car doesn't mean that the car is being blamed for the wreck.
