The U.S. Army's top enlisted man is close to unveiling the final version of the World War II-era Pinks and Greens uniform that could be approved for all soldiers next year. Sergeant Major of the Army Daniel Dailey and Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley began considering the possibility of bringing back the iconic two-tone uniform of the "greatest generation" for soldiers to wear as an everyday office uniform earlier this year.

Yup, real super heroes of the people. (I know, the little ribbons on the arm gives it away.)

When I was in I think Gen. PX Kelly went to a v-neck t-shirt with the Charlie uniform so he
could show of his chest hair I guess...lol. I thought it looked like crap.

The War Department was the Army. The Department of Defense came from the post war National Military Establishment that united the different service departments.

Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves, Crossed Swords and Diamonds, in Gold. Roughly equivalent to being awarded the Medal of Honor five times.

" Knights Cross with Oak Leaves, Crossed Swords and Diamonds, in Gold. Roughly equivalent to being awarded the Medal of Honor five times." Rudel was consulted, because of his tank busting experiences in WWII Russia, when the A10 Warthog was under development.
Learned about him when I was in grade school....saw him as a real warrior ever since.

In that Hitler spoof where everyone dubs in subtitles - all of the officers have different styles of uniforms. There’s like 10 guys in the room and 8 different styles.
If I knew how to do it, I always thought a fun one would be of Hitler ranting on why they can’t have all the same uniforms.
