There's no denying Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise is a big LSU fan. If you doubt that, just check out the tricked-out Tigers scooter the House Whip uses after being injured in June's shooting at a Republican baseball team practice.
Scalise's LSU allegiance didn't prevent University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban from asking him to be his guest at Saturday night's game between the Tide and the Tigers, with an invite hand-delivered by another Alabama Congressman.
Rep. Gary Palmer, among the attendees at the baseball practice when the shooting broke out, hand-delivered the invitation from Coach Saban to Rep. Scalise, his office said. Palmer and other members of the Legislative Delegation joined Scalise to watch the Tide best the Tigers 24-10.
Rep. Mo Brooks, who was also among the practice attendees when Scalise was injured, shared photos from the Scalise visit.

One thing I will mention is that I clicked on the tweeted images and read the comments. People on the left can be so vile. They're just not right.
Wow, that almost makes Saban seem human. The Bama PR people must have made him do it.
Hats off to the U of AL and AL coach for such gracious hospitality to Rep Scalise, Southern manners!
You know Jack about Saban.

Absolutely!
Darn nice of Saban. Alabama crunched the Tigers.
You thought Saban was human when he coached at LSU.

I may want to beat Saban, but I respect him, and I would be proud to have my kid play for him.
I work part time for an LSU program.
He should remember what Groucho Marx said about elephants. In Alabama the tusks are looser.
