An atheist woman seeking citizenship in Massachusetts is suing to remove the phrase so help me God from the United States citizenship oath.
Olga Paule Perrier-Bilbo, a French national who has lived in the U.S. since 2000 with a green card, says that the inclusion of the phrase is an unconstitutional violation of her religious freedom. Her lawyer, Michael Newdow, drew attention for a similar Supreme Court case in 2004, when he argued that the Pledge of Allegiance should be rewritten to omit under God.

A modicum of heaven on earth would be the total absence of godless leftists, Islam, criminals and assorted drecks. Cretins like her are in for a rude awakening. Shes hellbent on removing God from her life and she will be granted the removal of her name from Heavens roll call. Foolish, foolish ungodly non-believers choosing hell over heaven. I shudder at the mentality of leftists losers who lose it all forever.
The “Sunday school” stuff was a debunked liberal myth. You might want to catch up. All his classmates in school said he always preached atheism.
“This wacko neednt be characterized by his alleged beliefs.”

He was an atheist jihadi, I’d say he certainly earned the “label”.
“Shes hellbent on removing God from her life”

I imagine you and I and most everyone else will say that’s her choice. What is not her choice is to make that same choice for everyone else.
Sounds like a DemocRAT.
Dear God, so sorry that so many on this planet deny You, the Truth, Light and Love and wonderful Creator. We know this must cause You tons of pain. You dont deserve any of the awful spew and cabal of wicked humanity. Please accept our apologies and may Your Name be blessed forever in glory and praise.
“Wasn’t he involved in a case to have “In God We Trust” removed from our money?”
—
Wouldn’t surprise me a bit. Seems like he’s the Gloria Allred of the anti-God mafia.
As a citizen she would enjoy unalienable rights that the Founders considered God-given.

Yup, there is that irony in all this.
I suspect she is not okay with the national motto on money but they are trying to establish a precedent that people should not be required to invoke God. Then they will use that precedent to attack the rest. They are probably hoping people wont care about the citizenship oath because they are already citizens and thereby let a precedent be set, almost by default.
“Let her believe or disbelieve what she wants to.”
Fine...until she tries to impose her beliefs on others.
Atheists, vegans, or Muslims; they all tend to believe that it’s their way or the highway.
This stuff is inevitable. Same goes for placing hand on a Bible...it’s all going to be challenged.
Of course, according to atheists, the entire history of this country is wrong about whether this is constitutionally allowed, they know better. The founders sought to eliminate religion from the public square and all things in government. /s
...except, when you go to D.C., the religious elements are everywhere.
She’ll claim she will only use bitcoin for transactions...
“In blockchain we trust.”
If you have no God, no problem. Just say, “So help me.” With all the Gods that are professed, who knows which one is which? Gaia would even suffice. OK, Odin would be upset with me, but its OK. I’m sure there are many who would even say; “So help me Obama or Elvis”. ?? s/
Yup. I doubt anyone is listening for correct pronunciation.
Just curiously then, what IS the oath?
First and last question: Who is paying for the lawyer?
Wants to become an American but can’t wait to start changing it to suit her.
Who does she think she is?
Barack Obama?
