I don’t sell corn, but I’ve watched the industry grow and used it in my own vehicles since the mid 70s. You favor the oil industry approach and I favor the capturing of solar energy by plants as very efficient way to produce a portable fuel source. What would you replace ethanol with that is both octane boosting and cleaner burning? And no one, has forced you to buy it. Drive 30 miles and quit whining or ride a bicycle. You could probably stand to lose the weight.
Food and fuel are not expensive in this country. You should see what they cost in other countries. I’m not talking about two wrongs, I’m talking about all wrongs, all subsidies. You selectively wish to keep your own and attack others. That’s called hypocrisy.
Most freepers know nothing about modern agriculture. They don’t have a clue and I suspect you don’t either.
As has been shown throughout this thread, your reading comprehension leaves something to be desired. As I said, the use of adulterated gasoline is mandated by the government. You're the one supporting government regulation of and intervention in the marketplace. I simply want to scrap it.

Feel free to point out anywhere in my post where I said that I wanted to selectively keep other regulations. I thought I was quite plain and straightforward, but I'll say it again to see if maybe repetition can beat the concept into your head. I want all regulations that pick and choose winners and losers in the marketplace done away with. We know from experience that such things distort markets and the decisions that otherwise would be made in a free markets. You're the one arguing for government rule by fiat, not I.
We know that adulterated gasoline has bad effects on small engines. We also know that gasoline contains more energy than alcohol, and is thus more efficient. It takes the government pointing a gun to our heads, and telling us that you may not sell unadulterated gasoline in the vast majority of the nation to make it even worthwhile to transport it, because most folks would prefer the 10-15% better mileage you get with actual gasoline as opposed to the adulterated slop they force upon us.
It is sad to see someone on a conservative forum ppushing government interventionism. Fortunately, it looks like not very many people are interested in drinking the cool-aid. I'm sure there are other places where you'll find a warmer reception for your interventionist crap.
