Worked at a water park as security too... another job that would put him in close proximity to kids. On the other hand with his education and problems there may not have been many jobs available to him. I’m more than a little concerned about anyone hiring someone who was dishonorably discharged as a security guard.
Concerning the checking of Military records by employers:
Many don’t check and some don’t care. Their attitude is that the Military is a poor choice and can be overlooked as an error by a young person. The eventual employers will regret that idea many times.
The only discharge to consider is an HONORABLE discharge. All others are tainted.
... or to watch kids at vacation bible school when the BCD was for assault of a wife and child.
