Not just a Senator...but striking a Senior Citizen (depending on which state) incurs a $5,000 file, upgrade of crime and 6 months jail.
5 broken ribs 3 of them dislocated is a felony assault broken bones etcetera.....5k bail is ludicrous
The federal statutes say 1 year in prison and a fine for assaulting a member of Congress. That guy needs to serve the full 12 months. And lose his medical license.
