My brother was on the pastoral search committee at his church. Candidates stance on gun control was a key point.
If he was in favor, the interview process halted immediately.
Sadly, I live in a criminal empowerment zone (People’s Republic of Maryland) Carrying anywhere, let alone church is forbidden (except the criminals)
My son recently took the class for Handgun Qualification license, a couple background checks and fingerprints (All necessary to earn the government issued privilege of simply purchasing a handgun.) We went to check out some handguns yesterday and he bought one. In addition to all the other infringements, he has to wait for a seven day waiting period, as if all the other crap wasn’t enough.
One of the elders at my church was trying to see what would be needed to arm a couple members. I think he got shot down.
It’s something I worry about.
Maryland just opens itself up to a real bad type of black market problem. That is my thought.
I see what you did there.

Better to discreetly carry (do not “Print”), keeping the knowledge to your self, and have it when you need it, than to become an unarmed victim. The bad guy with the gun or with evil intent will no be following the laws of your community or state. An armed society is a more polite society. Americans should not need anyone’s permission to protect their lives.
We have a very large contingent of concealed carriers at our church each Sunday, as well as a uniformed off duty policeman on campus. Thank God our elders are conservative and smart and allow and even promote this. Its insanity not to these days.
I know of at least one concealed carrier in our congregation, who carries in spite of the “gun free zone” policy of our pastor and board. I always check to make sure that person is in attendance. :-)
Just carry and keep your mouth shut and Pray that you won’t need a Firearm.
