Well, if you understand the nature of the commitment of the priesthood, you would understand why priests are not allowed to get married. However, there is no excuse for the Church allowing gay men in, except stupidity, naivete, or evil, and none of those are actually excuses - just failures to respect God.

Yes I am very familiar with this doctrine. However do you understand this church practice was only in force since 1139 AD. And do really understand why they put this in force?

After all, many of Jesus’s disciples were married.

The reason for the change is not what you think. It was so the church could retain it’s wealth. Before the celibacy rule, the church lost wealth to the surviving spouse of the priest.

If you withhold something that is so natural to people, ESPECIALLY in men, like regular sex, it will come out SIDEWAYS.

People need to wake up to the greed not only in government but in religion...
