Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri resigned from his post Saturday during a trip to Saudi Arabia less than a year after taking office, in a surprise move that plunged the country into uncertainty amid heightened regional tensions.
The missile was likely assembled in Yemen, but almost certainly was of Iranian design (at least as Western nations will likely conclude). Its firing is an extremely dangerous provocation, and much more may come of all these factors over the coming days.
A US response to Yemen would carry implications for North Korea, but in short, Saudi Arabia will want its allies and friends to help stave off any further "instability." (The bedfellow alignments may raise some eyebrows.)
