In my state, they don’t ‘put up’ any one.
People step forward to run and either win the Primary or motivate delegates to show up at a convention.
Noted. I’m talking more about the presidential prinaries. The RNC has made an art form out of rigging that system. They let Democrats vote in many of our key states, making it nearly impossible for the most conservative candidate to win. They also dilute the field by way of distributing the resistance to their chosen standard bearer. They have other ways of influencing the outcome as well—financial shenanigans and well financed SuperPacs, to run vile, dishonest ads against conservatives to name two.
We wouldn’t get stuck with abject losers like McCain and Romney if the primaries were less manipulated. That is just a fact.
