White House slams Bushes for Iraq War after ‘blowhard’ dig
NY Post ^ | November 4, 2017 | Mary Kay Linge

The White House punched back at both Presidents Bush on Saturday over their criticism of fellow Republican President Donald Trump as a destructive force in the party.

“If one presidential candidate can disassemble a political party, it speaks volumes about how strong a legacy its past two presidents really had,” a White House official told CNN. “And that begins with the Iraq war, one of the greatest foreign policy mistakes in American history.”

The Bushes let loose on Trump in a new book on their careers and presidencies, “The Last Republicans,” said media reports.

“He’s a blowhard,” said President George H.W. Bush, who was president from 1989 to 1993.

His son George W. Bush thinks that Trump’s ego and lack of humility could tear the GOP apart.

“I’m worried that I will be the last Republican president,” said the younger Bush, who was president from 2001 to 2009.

Neither man voted for Trump last year.

Reagan’s biggest mistake.

I always wondered if Bush didn’t tell Saddam go ahead and invade Kuwait. We won’t stop you.

...Yeb Bush went down in flames after pissing away millions of dollars on his campaign...

And Bush Jr left the American economy in shambles. Remember how McCain had to rush to DC to help put a trillion dollars finger in the dike?

The Bush clan downfall for me began when the matriarch Barbara dissed Sarah Palin for really no reason at all. Since that moment it has been one bad news item after another. The Bushes if they didn’t like Trump could have kept a low profile and not created waves but they chose to and thus they are reaping our scorn now big time. They are pretty much dead to most on this website now. The Bushes will never be loved by the left. They did have the right and a lot on this website in their corner but that has now gone with the wind. What have they gained from this ridiculous feud with Trump I don’t know.

You are correct; it was a "smokey backroom "deal". They still existed back then.

Thingy...W never claimed to be the "second coming of Reagan" and he certainly wasn't.

They have done more damage than either Obama or Clinton as their stranglehold on the GOP prevented any true Conservative being President.

The full extent of the Bush corruption and criminality is still not known, and will not be until the full truth about the murder of JFK and attempted hit on the Gipper are fully known.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the 2016 election was seeing Trump humiliate this family of scumbags and their boy Jeb on a daily basis.

Yes, I must admit it was one of the most enjoyable highlights of all.

Trump is America First Party. Reagan was the last Republican President and the end of the republican party. Both Reagan and Trump love this country, the rest of them just used this country.

I think Trump qualifies ad a blowhard of sorts...a badass blowhard. A blowhard who says what he’s gonna do then DOES IT. (You know, like say he’s going to win the presidency).

Jimmy Carter just moved to third place. Maybe 4th place.

FWIW, Jimmy Carter gave us Ronald Reagan.

GWB gave us Barack Obama.

Not in those words but W DID talk about meeting him, and how much he admired him over and over on the campaign trail.

The carpetbagger was selling Reagan like a good politician and leaving the rest of us to connect the dots. Cant tell you how many discussions with friends I had in 2000 who said, He's gonna be like Reagan. I'm right about this AND I was living in another chad hanging state called Ohio back then.

Go look up the word “blowhard”; you obviously don’t know what that word means.

Then you and your "friends" heard what you wanted to hear.

I worked on Reagan's campaign, as well, sadly as both of the Bushes; for which I need to do penance.

Few people "heard" what W said and inferred what you did.

Also, wasn’t it not too long after Reagan was inaugurated that his attempted assassination took place? Such impatience.

If memory is correct, it was sometime around the hundred day mark.

With what we hear and read daily about Trump in danger because of the establishment / swamp, it wouldnt surprise me if establishment took its best shot at Reagan. The swamp is full of B@st@rds.

It’s amazing how election after election, the GOP tells conservatives they need to get on board and vote for the Rino de jour, but when they can’t cram one of their elite snobs down our throats they themsleves don’t vote for the Republican candidate.

@$$h073$.

Ya well, you werent at the table for those discussions with my friends

Having worked on the campaign trail you know what I mean by "sell Reagan like a good politician". Inference, intended or not, is a political tool thats used...

along with mentioning every possible answer to a question, hoping everyone will hear the one they want and ignore the rest of what you said. Hilary was/is very good at this technique. Bush talked about Reagan hoping that "inference" would connect the dots and it did.

Call it subliminal advertising if it you want, I call it, in this instance, "selling Reagan".

We conservatives have no clout any more. We used to be what made our country tick... not any more since the media has been trashing us along with Trump.

As time passes since the election in Nov, the media has made headway in the number who are anti Trump. Trump doesn’t help himself with his style of bashing back. There is a way to hit them hard without using the elementary street way of doing it. Many don’t mind Trump’s way of speaking when he’s striking back, but he’d have a greater success with a more mature response.

And before I get hit, I’m behind Trump 100% and if his style attacks helped him, I’d say let him go... but it’s not happening. they just look down their noses at him. He has so much ability and stamina, use it with all you’ve got.

As for the bushes... they are such a huge disappointment!!! .. they have no business doing this to us. It’s not just Trump.. they include us when they do this. Looking back, gw was the only one who lied about who he was/is... barbara and laura was libs even then. barbara had no better control over mouth than they say about Trump.. and her mouth was a democrat.

Just because senior bush is old doesn’t give him any more respect when they are bad mouthing us and Trump.

You are so right with your statement, *these 2 idiots did more to damage the country than an army of terrorists and paved the way for first Bill Clinton then Barack Obama through their incompetence* !!!!!!
