Nobody can display as much anger, so much unbridled rage, as someone who has done great wrong, imagined that the indiscretions went unnoticed, and then gets ratted out, by persons whom they thought to be reliable and trustworthy.
Of course the rage is great and abiding. This may ruin things for YEARS, and there might even be no coming back from the edge.
