Every once in awhile I need to get off of a ‘bad’ phone call — I say to the caller on the there end of the line: ‘Hold on...hey! Point the extinguisher at the BASE of the flames! I have to go’ followed by ‘CLICK.’
It’s very effective.

Pull the pin.
Aim at the base of the fire.
Squeeze the handle.
Sweep the nozzle over the base of the fire.
We practice it on a live fire every year at my business.
