“It is impossible to believe that Paddock made loads of money over the years as a “professional gambler” playing video poker, as has been asserted in the MSM many times now.”

I worked with a super nice black guy who dressed and acted like a millionaire, despite having a job that paid, maybe $30,000. He had three cars, including a new Mercedes and a new Audi. He put $5k worth of twenty inch wheels and tires on both. His third was a beater. After he was murdered, it turned out he was running an entertainment business which included underage prostitutes and nude party dancing. (He was shot by two black pimps.)

I was suspicious of the apparent wealth and suspected a problem. But he never missed a day of work and seemed like a bright, upstanding guy. It didn’t add up, but there was nothing obviously wrong. Apparently, he told his family that he was a very well paid employee. The job was his cover.

My first thought about the professional gambler story was, bunk. There probably aren’t five guys in the whole USA who can pull that off successfully in the long run. The odds always favor the house. Paddock’s money had to come from something else.

I wonder how much he was getting paid by the DNC and Clinton Foundation... He obviously knew something about Hillary. :)

For years I pull up at convenience stores to often spend $10 or less. I’m often seeing $50,000 vehicles with $3,000 to $4,000+ of custom rims and tires on them.

And the guys driving them often don’t look like rocket scientists.

I bought a vehicle for just over 1/2 of that when I had a really decent income (my single income exceeded the average household income of the city for 2 people). I sure didn’t have a $50,000 vehicle.

Make me think there’s a “side business” going on like what you describe. A “side business” or two. Or three.

My buddy had a book store in Oakland with a “hair salon” next door. When the “salon” moved out the landlord did a reno. We were shocked when they started pulling out odd items like jacuzzis from the back room. Turns out the “hair salon” was just a cover and there was a bordello in the back rooms. LOL.

I knew a guy who actually was a professional gambler. He wouldn’t go near a slot machine with a 10 foot pole. He worked at his job, with hours of study and self analysis. He was very clear about what he was doing and why. He wouldn’t even talk to the loudmouth football gamblers we worked with. I have a lot of respect for that guy. Nobody in any casino is a professional gambler.

I suspect this is TWA800 all over again...

to let the public know that islamists could easily rent a room in a high rise and pick off dozens of people would be detrimental not only to all of Vegas but the entire entertainment industry.
