Representative Peter King (R-N.Y.), who serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said there are a lot of questions to be answered about why the Obama administration agreed to sell 20% of U.S. uranium production to Russia in 2010, especially when there was an FBI investigation at the time involving bribery and kickbacks to a Russian official and that the FBI never told Congress about the crime, the people involved, and the prosecution of the case.
"I know Congress was never told about this investigation," Rep. King said on Varney & Co., Oct. 24. "Why did the FBI close down the investigation? Robert Mueller was head of the FBI then. It raises a lot of questions. (Mueller is now the special counsel investigating alleged Russian collusion with the 2016 Trump campaign.)

Why can't someone just ask the FISA judge? - what, is he / she above answering a question from the public? Waterboard her ass until she talks
"We got them but President Trump will do nothing?" That's a patently absurd thing to say.
There already is a Special Counsel, and it seems as if he's already moving precisely in this direction.
So you shouldn't be puzzled.
To seem legitimate, this could never be seen as having been ordered or directed by President Trump. If so, it would simply be chalked up to partisan politics, and the President abusing his power—and maybe rightly so.
This has to bubble up through the proper channels: the Justice Department, Congress, the Special Counsel's office.
Given the direction that Mueller appears to be going, he must be given a chance to show that he's pursuing justice.
The President is at least going to give the inexorable machinery of government a chance to "do the right thing" by the People. There aren't going to be any impulsive moves on his part, nor should there be.
To those supporters who want instant gratification, they're just going to have to learn to be patient while this plays out.
If at some point it becomes apparent that the people who are in these positions aren't doing their jobs, then, and only then, will the President take action himself.
Both the President and his supporters are going to have to possess the patience of Job if this process is ever to resolve itself properly. Think about who is being pursued. This isn't tiddlywinks. This is one of the slickest political corruption operations in the history of the world!
Shortcuts, impulsive partisan decisions, and quick fixes simply won't cut it. To take down the likes of Hillary and the rest of the Swamp is going to require monumental deliberation and caution, and those advocating knee-jerk moves by the President really couldn't be more misguided, IMHO.
Don't forget that President Trump is totally new to all of this, and while he might tweet impulsively, as far as acting, he's showing an abundance of caution, which I think is his only play until such time as it becomes apparent that something else is called for.
The second-guessing is absolutely ridiculous around here...
We all want to see Hillary investigated because we know
she and her lackeys are the real criminals. We also
know that Mueller and his team can’t be let anywhere
near that investigation. Not only does another special
prosecutor need to be appointed but there needs to be
a trustworthy entity responsible for appointing that
prosecutor.
turn up the heat!
i keep hearing the line that the 20% of mined uranium never left the USA or at least never left USA allies.
Is there any public proof of this or is it just more dust kicked up by the clintons and the clinton syncopants?
Has anybody asked former Defense Secretary Robert Gates why he voted for this as Obama’s Secretary of Defense and what he knew at the time?
I tend to agree with you.
Sessions’ recusal on all things Russian is hurting the president.
He should resign and let Trump appoint someone else.
Remember that?
It's still an open case.
Uranium One deal led to some exports to Europe, memos show
NRC officials told The Hill that Uranium One exports flowed from Wyoming to Canada and on to Europe between 2012 and 2014
Uranium One to the other parties to Export.
The move escaped notice in Congress.
25 percent of that nuclear fuel eventually made its way outside North America to Europe and Asia
And Georgia
Liz hit the nail on the head on another thread. Hillary used the information provided by the FBI to insinuate herself into the Russian cash flow. She used the various arms of the government to her own personal advantage.
Now we learn the FBI did not inform Congress, so it further raises suspicion of FBI involvement. So FBI informs the POTUS and Sec of State that Russian agents are trying to buy up uranium assets and are throwing lots of money around. On one hand that is their duty, and it should then fall on POTUS and State Dept to take action.
In this case what possible reason would we have for wanting Russia to buy U1? You would think that POTUS and State Dept would not only reject the idea but act the thwart Russian ambitions elsewhere in the world. But the opposite happened. Not only the opposite, but we find out that the people inside Justice Dept who had the information were placed under gag orders and prohibited from revealing what they knew. This adds yet another layer of suspicion as it suggests knowledge of a criminal endeavor and its cover-up.
So yes, an independent investigation needs to be established. And this means Mueller needs to step down, because no person who is a central figure in an investigation can lead a special investigation for obvious reasons (retaliation).
It will be very interesting to find out if the British MI5 or MI6 interrogated (not interviewed) Christopher Steele, seized his financial records, and offered to extradite him to the U.S. as a “material witness” to a criminal conspiracy and possible treason conspiracy.
Steele, of who I know nothing except what is in the papers, should be an older person and not interested in spending his twilight years in a British prison on the moors.
It would be interesting to know if the FBI or CIA interviewed him in England. I would hope that they would be smart enough to have done it much earlier before his exposure because accidents do happen in England. Their tea is terrible, can kill you.
Putin doesn’t mess around. He has them killed.
You can take Putin out of the KGB, but you can’t take the KGB out of Putin.
yeah but Meulller has impeccable credentials???
The FBI should be dissolved. Sessions must go.
Probably going to find out that Hillary was paying the salaries of the FBI,CIA,Justice dept.and Supreme court as well as the DNC
It wasn’t just Congress that didn’t know:
...Ronald Hosko, who served as the assistant FBI director in charge of criminal cases when the investigation was underway, told The Hill he did not recall ever being briefed about Mikerins case by the counterintelligence side of the bureau despite the criminal charges that were being lodged.
I had no idea this case was being conducted, a surprised Hosko said in an interview...
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The investigation was divided up such that FBI agents handling the case weren’t informed about national security implications? That sleight of hand could only have been done by Mueller himself or his assistant John Pistole/Tim Murphy.
I read somewhere that there was some controversy over the scrap iron from the Sixth Avenue el in NYC. People were concerned that it might wind up in the hands of the Japanese, who were attacking China.
Seems very similar to the present concern about where the uranium might end up.
He wrote a twitter message yesterday talking about Donna Brazile and how the DNC rigged the system for Hillary, and then he says “where’s our justice dept?” So I wrote back to him “YOU’RE the President!! Where is YOUR justic dept??” He seems to think the justice dept is run out in Siberia or something, WTF is he doing?
Mainly rino Juan McCain.
