Sometimes armed security come to your office and escort you out after killing all your pass codes, collecting keys and IDs.
It can be worse than that. My wife, as a manager had to fire a guy who she warned over almost a year to do his work. She had the security guards bring him to her office where she told him he was fired and his belongings would be brought to him at the front door. He went ballistic, screaming and fighting with the security guards. The SFPD were called, and the police dragged him out kicking and screaming in full view of other employees. If security can't handle, armed police can.
He sued the company but lost the case, as my wife had carefully documented everything for a year including warnings to shape up, and was working with HR the whole time.
